Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR): Find Your Local CCR
A geographical database of CCRs created and published in compliance with the EPA’s CCR rule that requires public water systems to annually evaluate and explain to the public the condition of local drinking water. These reports include sources of drinking water, contamination risks, harmful and regulated substances identified in the water, violations of EPA health standards, and any steps taken to clean drinking water. CCRs are mailed to consumers of local drinking water systems each summer. If a report is not listed in the database, it is best to contact the water system directly.
Methodology: This website was found by googling “drinking water quality” and clicking on the EPA’s “Ground Water and Drinking Water” webpage. I then clicked the “Annual Water Quality Reports” which brought me to the Consumer Confidence Reports page. After clicking on “Find your local CCR,” I came to the map of the US that allows local water quality searches.
